* So You Want To Tie People Up!, presented by Suspended Animation

This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to start tying people up. In addition to technical skills, we'll focus on the "soft" skills required to put together a successful bondage scene.



We'll talk about why we do what we do, basic rope techniques, several different bondage positions and how to choose a position that's appropriate for your particular play style. We'll also spend some time talking about the psychology of bondage and the steps involved in putting together a fun and successful scene.



Suspended Animation rocked Burning Man last year and performed at this year's Seattle Erotic Art Festival (SEAF). Come see what all the excitement is about.

Holding our meetings at Charlie's has the added bonuses (boni?) of providing us with a wider range of menu items (some of them quite affordable!) as well as a brighter and quieter space for us to meet in. And, of course, there's room for us to grow. ;-)

What: A screening of the very not-Disney version of "Peter Pan"
When: Monday, July 14th, 7:30 p.m.
Who: You! The women of Seattle's WWC!
Where: The Water Tower, aka Marta's house (4311 Sunnyside Ave. N., just 1.5 blocks south of the Erotic Bakery)

What to bring: Munchie snacks and drinkables if you so desire. Fine to bring a guest as well. This will be a safe and friendly environment, should be fine to bring a guest of either gender if you wish (any male guests will be heavily outnumbered by women who know quite well how to make them behave, so I don't think we'll have any issues).

Also, if you want to use the hot tub later in the evening, please bring a towel. Swimsuits are optional; up to your own comfort level whether you want to wear one or not.

For those with critter allergies, be aware that I have one cat (formerly two), so there is quite a bit of cat dander in the house.

The house is a tall "skinny" style house, red-brown with green and white trim, on the west side of the street. There's usually plenty of street parking. Folks are also welcome to park in the driveway, but BE AWARE that the driveway is very steep--your car may very well scrape bottom going up.

Negotiation is much more than finding out what your bottom likes and doesn't like.

Negotiation is the foundation for the scene. It establishes consent, builds trust, sets a tone, creates expectations and develops boundaries.

With the right tools, it can also be hot, seductive and wickedly effective.

Topics we'll be covering include:
- What is the real purpose of negotiation?
- Where does the negotiation end and the scene start?
- Negotiation objectives and how to meet them
- When should your negotiation NOT lead to a scene?

and gathering information
- Demos and exercises to sharpen your negotiation skills

It's important to get the most out of your negotiations. Come explore which negotiation styles fit you and what works best for different situations.


Workshop Format

Because there's so much information to cover, the workshops will be primarily demo and lecture. There's no need to bring a practice partner, although we think this material is as valuable to bottoms as it is to tops. Bottoms - don't you want to know what your top is up to?

Handouts will be provided to jog your memory and to supply additional references.

While some topping experience will be helpful, the workshops are accessible to all skill levels and are applicable to all orientations / genders.
